About this role
Sparks Group is seeking a highly skilled GitHub Business Analyst and Technical Writer to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams. This role focuses on leveraging GitHub for collaboration, requirements management, and delivery tracking, translating business needs into actionable development artifacts.
Responsibilities:
- Lead requirements gathering sessions and translate outcomes into GitHub Issues, Epics, and Projects
- Write clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria
- Ensure requirements are structured to meet SMART standards
- Manage and prioritize the backlog items using GitHub, ServiceNow or other Fed-approved platforms
- Maintain documentation in GitHub Wiki or other Fed-approved repositories including SharePoint and Confluence
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Agile or DevOps environments
- 1+ years of hands-on experience using GitHub (Issues, Projects, Pull Requests, Actions, Wikis)
- 1+ years of experience working in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) environment
- 1+ years of experience translating business requirements into technical artifacts
- 1+ years of experience working with cross-functional, distributed teams
