Integrated Specialty Coverages, LLC (ISC) is a growth stage technology and data-driven commercial MGA and insurance wholesaler leading innovation in the market. The Technical Product Manager will own the technology and platform capabilities for the Workers Compensation program, integrating it with the Policy Administration System and ensuring an efficient broker experience.
Responsibilities:
- Own Workers Comp Platform Capabilities: Discover, define, and deliver the technology functionality required to run the workers compensation program, from quote-to-bind through policy servicing
- Lead PAS Integration: Drive the integration between ISCx and the Policy Administration System, ensuring seamless data flow, accurate policy issuance, and operational efficiency
- Configure Program Builder: Leverage ISC's Program Builder to configure carriers, products, question sets, and underwriting rules without requiring engineering effort
- Drive Cross-Sell Strategy: Define and implement cross-sell opportunities between workers comp and other ISC products (GL, BOP, etc.) to maximize broker value and premium growth
- Optimize Broker Experience: Ensure the end-to-end broker experience for workers comp is intuitive, fast, and competitive, from submission through policy delivery
- Collaborate with Engineering and Design: Work closely with engineering, design, and data teams to ensure technical feasibility, scalability, and an exceptional user experience
- Partner with Insurance Operations: Collaborate with underwriting, carrier management, and operations teams to translate business requirements into platform capabilities
- Drive Discovery and Iteration: Use customer research, data analysis, and rapid prototyping to validate solutions before committing to full development
- Manage Stakeholders: Communicate progress, risks, and decisions to leadership through SteerCo and other governance forums
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field
- 2-4 years of product management experience, with a focus on technical products in a technology-driven environment
- Strong understanding of APIs, system integrations, and data flows
- Ability to work directly with engineering teams on technical requirements and tradeoffs
- Comfortable working in ambiguity, validating assumptions through research and experimentation, and iterating based on learnings
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively
- Experience with agile methodologies and product development frameworks
- Understanding of commercial insurance, workers compensation, or related fields
- Experience in insurance or Insurtech is a plus
