This job contributes to Starbucks and Harrah’s Southern California Resort success by providing fast, friendly and Exceptional Customer Service to all guests with quality beverage, products and maintaining a clean and comfortable and safe store environment. Our team members are required to prepare and serve cold and hot beverages, light snacks, pastries, and cookies to players in the casino area. The team member is responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with Starbucks Guiding Principles and with Harrah’s Southern California Resort’s Mission Values and Vision.
- Acknowledges, greets, and converses with guests as soon as they enter the store.
- Must be able to consistently demonstrate (EGE) “Everyone Greets Everyone” by greeting all guests and fellow property team members with a smile and appropriate greeting.
- Be a role model in demonstrating Family Style Service to all guests and team members.
- Acts with Integrity, honesty and knowledge that promotes the culture of Starbucks Guiding Principles and Harrah’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
- Effectively handles difficult conversations with the guests.
- Prepares snacks and beverages by following the manual restaurant franchise operations.
- Warm, wrap, and prepare sandwiches, pastries, and any type of beverage following the receipt order in a timely and efficient manner.
- Processes cash transactions by following company policies.
- Upsells products and promote Caesars and Starbucks brand.
- Keeps counters, tables, equipment, and cart areas clean and well stocked.
- Maintains cleanliness in the front and back of the house including, sweeping, wiping down tables, dusting, restocking supplies.
- Practice the First in First Out method when handling goods.
- Log and report food and drink waste during business hours.
- Follow all health and safety policies and procedures while working. As well as follow all food handling procedures.
- Follows tasks based on business needs and leadership team.
- Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
- Six months previous experience in food service is preferred.
- Must have at least six months money-handling and cash register experience.
- Hotel restaurant experience would be a plus.
- Must possess excellent Family Style Service and Starbucks customer experience standards to all guests.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift.
- Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Must present a well-groomed appearance following franchise and company uniform standards.
- Must possess a Food Handlers card prior to employment or be willing to obtain a Food Handlers card within the first seven days of employment.
- Must have flexibility to rotate in front line stations such as warming, store support, cashier, and barista, based on business needs.
- Must be willing to work in other food service outlets.
- Must be willing to work overtime, if needed.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Pay: $18.00 per hour plus tips
Preference is given to qualified Rincon tribal members and members of other federally recognized tribes.
