The Technical Engineer II will manage and configure billing systems, support troubleshooting, and optimize billing interfaces, while collaborating with project managers and stakeholders to ensure successful interface go-lives.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and configure billing systems for new and existing clients, including support, troubleshooting, and optimization of billing interfaces
- Design, build, and maintain integrations using the Decisions Rule Engine, ingesting and normalizing data from multiple formats (HL7, flat files, PDFs, text files)
- Support legacy and Decisions‑based interface processes, ensuring reliable data ingestion and steady operational performance
- Partner with project managers and stakeholders to plan and execute interface go‑lives, including requirements gathering, documentation, and validation
- Develop and maintain technical artifacts, such as data dictionaries, source‑to‑target mappings, and interface specifications
- Monitor, analyze, and resolve data integrity issues, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and uniqueness of billing data while identifying automation opportunities
- Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and vendors to design, test, implement, and troubleshoot HL7 and flat‑file feeds across the integration lifecycle
Requirements:
- Working experience with HL7 messages: ADT, ORM, ORU, and DFT required
- Manage and configure billing systems for new and existing clients, including support, troubleshooting, and optimization of billing interfaces
- Design, build, and maintain integrations using the Decisions Rule Engine, ingesting and normalizing data from multiple formats (HL7, flat files, PDFs, text files)
- Support legacy and Decisions‑based interface processes, ensuring reliable data ingestion and steady operational performance
- Partner with project managers and stakeholders to plan and execute interface go‑lives, including requirements gathering, documentation, and validation

- Experience in implementation of interfaces in healthcare for billing systems highly desired
- 3+ years of related Revenue Cycle experience; Radiology Billing experience highly preferred
- Familiarity with healthcare application environments (clinical EHR, RIS systems, healthcare billing and accounting applications) including data structures and hosting environments, and ability to use this knowledge to integrate and map fields to published HL7 standards
- Experience with database integration and working in SQL Server along with appropriate tools to complete the tasks assigned
- Highly knowledgeable of current integration best practices, with a history of delivering highly available, scalable, and supportable integration solutions with HL7 standards, interfaces, and integration engine technologies
- Understanding of clinical workflows and exposure to clinical settings with experience in PACS, DICOM and RIS data and workflow
