Software Engineer III (NON-REMOTE ROLE))

They are seeking a Software Engineer III to lead the design, implementation, and support of complex software systems, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability while providing technical leadership and mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of complex .NET applications and services, with a focus on scalability, security, and overall maintainability, and alignment with business requirements and enterprise standards
• Architect and maintain highly available systems deployed in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Design and govern JSON-based API contracts and integration patterns
• Oversee database design, optimization, and integration with DB2
• Serve as an escalation point for high-impact production incidents
• Review and approve code for quality, security, and performance
• Collaborate with architects, DevOps, and cloud teams on system improvements
• Mentor Junior Software Development/Engineering staff
• Drive modernization efforts, cloud optimization, and technical debt reduction
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security, audit, and regulatory standards
• Contribute to technical roadmaps and architectural strategies
• Deliver solutions on time, proactively managing risks, dependencies, and technical trade-offs to meet committed deadlines

Requirements:

• Experience in designing and developing complex .NET applications and services
• Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Experience in designing and governing JSON-based API contracts and integration patterns
• Experience with database design, optimization, and integration with DB2
• Ability to serve as an escalation point for high-impact production incidents
• Experience in reviewing and approving code for quality, security, and performance
