Structural Engineer (Remote)

On-Board Companies is a global professional services firm specializing in engineering, design, construction, and consulting solutions. They are seeking qualified structural engineers to join their team in a contract-to-hire opportunity, with the intention of converting to a direct, permanent position after approximately 3 to 6 months.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain effective communications with department members, higher management, and with clients
• Perform calculations of structural systems, hand calculations, computer aided calculations (spreadsheets and mathcad), and 3D modeling analysis (Staad)
• Assist in creation of contract drawings via providing drawing input to structural designer

Requirements:

• Bachelors or Masters of Science in Civil/Structuring Engineering
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) License
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in engineering design of building structural systems
• Must have demonstrated experience in the structural design for steel and concrete structures on a variety of projects
• Must have advanced working proficiency in STAAD Pro
• Must have working knowledge of Revit
• Must have a solid working knowledge of building codes and other applicable structural codes
• Should have and display strong communication skills both verbal and written
