Akkodis is seeking a Technical Project Manager specializing in Cloud migration for a contract position. The role involves managing the product backlog, overseeing project plans, and ensuring successful migration of legacy SharePoint environments to cloud-based platforms while maintaining effective communication with stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Owning and managing the product backlog for assigned platforms or capabilities
- Translating business requirements, customer needs, and operational inputs into clear user stories with acceptance criteria
- Management of the overall project plan, scope, and resourcing to implement the project
- Tracking project milestones and communicating status to both internal teams and external clients during weekly meetings
- Creating approach and materials for Workshops involving both business and technical stakeholders
- Providing support in gathering business requirements and translating them into design options
- Documenting/defining processes to show where business and system processes align
- Defining the post-production support model and coordinating the hand-off between internal teams
- Prepare and facilitate Steering Committee presentations
- Developing program-level communications to all stakeholder levels
- Ad-hoc presentations for the business as needed
- Participates in all aspects of the project process lifecycle (Initiate, Plan, Execute, Monitor & Control, and Close)
- Exercises judgment within prescribed and defined procedures in formulating and designing basic project scope and objectives based on business acumen and analysis of multiple business systems, processes, and requirements
- Includes the completion of required documentation and required approvals for each phase and develops and implements mitigation plans; ensures project methodology is followed
- Leads projects and/or assists in complex projects across departments and business units; defines, plans, and monitors project phases, tasks, and resource requirements through project timelines; assembles and coordinates project staff and provides support of project team; manages communication and collaboration of project team and key stakeholders; utilizes the enterprise project management information system for project status, assessment of results, and issue management; acts as a point-of-contact across all business units to gather time and cost estimates; facilitates project change requests with proper approvals; identifies and notifies management of issues impeding project goals and recommends and implements alternative solutions to ensure objectives and timelines are met; partners with Learning & Development and Operational Services to manage development and delivery of training documentation for end users and ensure adoption
- Contacts vendors, when appropriate, and evaluates the fit/cost of solution options; reviews documentation on technical and business requirements, ensures compatibility and scalability, and makes recommendations to management
- Collaborate with other in-house technical staff members to integrate programming, hardware/equipment, networking, operational, and support requirements
- Performs other related duties, tasks, and responsibilities as required, assigned, and directed
- Lead the end-to-end migration of legacy SharePoint 2010 environments to modern cloud-based platforms, ensuring minimal disruption and full functionality
- Design, develop, and maintain solutions using Microsoft Power Pages to modernize legacy SharePoint sites and improve user experience
- Build automated workflows and integrations using Power Automate, replacing legacy SharePoint workflows and improving operational efficiency
- Collaborate with technical teams to design, optimize, and maintain cloud-hosted databases using Amazon RDS, ensuring high availability, performance, and security
- Integrate data from Fourth Reporting Platform into modern reporting solutions, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and reliability
- Facilitate large cross-functional meetings, driving clarity, accountability, and alignment among technical and business stakeholders
- Provide strong vendor management, including evaluation, onboarding, performance tracking, and coordination across multiple third-party partners
- Develop and maintain project documentation, migration plans, risk logs, and process flows to support smooth transitions and continuous improvement
- Partner with business units to gather requirements, translate needs into technical solutions, and ensure successful deployment and adoption
- Ensure governance, security compliance, and best practices throughout migration and modernization projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of cloud-based project management experience, preferably within the restaurant or retail industries
- Solid Project management
- Must have done migration of SharePoint 10 to the cloud
- Vendor management
- Excellent oral and written English communication, interpersonal, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new skills as they are acquired
- Ability to work well under pressure and under tight deadlines
- Basic knowledge of business system/process analysis and implementation
- Knowledge of multiple project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc.) and system development life cycle
- Experience with analysis tools: Visio-process flow diagrams, project management software (Wrike/Microsoft O365 or equivalent)
- Demonstrates integrity and ethical behavior
- Project Management education preferred
- PMP certification pursuit or equivalent encouraged
- Strong understanding of integrations
- Knowledge of multiple project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc.) and system development life cycle preferred
