Veridic Solutions is a company seeking a Senior Business Analyst to gather and document requirements from business users. The role involves leading discussions, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with project and product managers to ensure timely delivery of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Write clear, effective, and actionable user stories and tasks
- Gather requirements from business users through interviews, workshops, and discovery sessions
- Create and maintain comprehensive requirements and functional design documentation
- Lead group discussions during refinement, discovery, and requirement sessions
- Work at a fast pace to ensure the team has prioritized work ready in the backlog
- Proactively set up meetings and drive work forward with minimal oversight
- Partner closely with Project Managers and Product Managers to deliver against timelines
- Support discovery and UAT activities, including on-site collaboration in Kennewick, WA as needed
- Use agile work management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar platforms
- Collaborate effectively with business analysts, product, and data teams to support analytics-driven initiatives
- Create clear, concise, and well-defined user stories and tasks on the agile work board
- Lead backlog refinement sessions and ensure backlog accuracy and readiness
- Facilitate and/or lead stand-up meetings as required
- Gather, document, and validate requirements from business stakeholders
- Maintain and update required BA documentation (e.g., functional design documentation)
- Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies clearly with PMs and stakeholders
- Proactively schedule and lead meetings to drive requirements and decision-making
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in agile environments
- Strong experience writing user stories and managing backlogs
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or comparable agile tools
- Proven ability to lead requirement and refinement sessions with cross-functional teams
- Experience supporting data analytics structures and methodologies
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Must be an onshore U.S. resource and available for occasional travel
- Experience working on enterprise or data-focused initiatives
- Prior experience supporting UAT and discovery sessions on-site
- Strong understanding of agile and scrum methodologies
