Sr. Software Engineer - GolfNow

VERSANT is a leading force in news, sports, and entertainment, home to iconic and trusted brands. The Senior Software Engineer will contribute to B2B2C customer-facing Golf applications, focusing on building custom WordPress plugins and themes, as well as collaborating on applications using Next.js, .NET 8, and Node.js services.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain custom WordPress plugins and themes for Golf applications
• Contribute to customer-facing applications built with Next.js and React
• Participate in mobile app development using .NET 8 and related technologies
• Build and maintain backend services using Node.js and NestJS
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional user experiences
• Adapt quickly to new technologies and project requirements

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in frontend or full-stack software development
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices and design patterns
• Extensive experience with PHP and WordPress development
• Proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks
• Hands-on experience with React and Next.js
• Ability to work across multiple technologies and platforms
• A collaborative mindset and willingness to share knowledge
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases, RabbitMQ
• Familiarity with AI tools for coding and configuration
• Knowledge of architecture design principles
• Experience with GitHub Actions and AWS
• Experience developing large-scale, consumer-facing web applications
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Mobile development experience (preferably .NET MAUI)
• Knowledge of PCI compliance or other security-critical environments
• Comfortable balancing short-term delivery needs with long-term architecture goals
