Nemours Children’s Health is seeking a Medical Assistant III to join our Cardiology team in Lakeland, Florida.
The Medical Assistant (MA) supports the daily clinical operations of the Lakeland Cardiology clinic by providing high‑level clinical and administrative assistance to providers, patients, and the care team. This role requires strong clinical competency, excellent communication skills, and the ability to perform specialized cardiology‑related tasks such as EKGs. Occasional travel to nearby clinics may be required to support operational needs.
Position Overview
The MA is an important liaison between the patient/family, provider, and other care team members. The MA is responsible for coordinating patient flow by assisting in clinical data collection and review for patient intake, ensuring the appropriate information is available to the provider, and entering pertinent history in the medical record. The MA performs and assists with clinical procedures in accordance with divisional/department responsibilities as directed by the provider and per protocol.
