About this role
CBTS is seeking an Observability Engineer with expertise in Splunk and Dynatrace. The role requires strong experience in observability principles, distributed systems, and scripting, aimed at enhancing performance monitoring and troubleshooting techniques.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Splunk and/or Dynatrace (both preferred)
- Strong experience with: SPL (Search Processing Language)
- Log parsing, field extraction, and data normalization
- Solid understanding of observability principles (metrics, logs, traces)
- Experience with distributed systems and microservices architectures
- Knowledge of performance monitoring and troubleshooting techniques
- Familiarity with REST APIs and integration patterns
- Scripting skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
- Experience with Dynatrace Davis AI for anomaly detection and root cause analysis
- Hands-on experience with Splunk Enterprise Security (SIEM)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
- Kubernetes and container observability experience
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Knowledge of security frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK
- Infrastructure-as-Code experience (Terraform or similar)
