About this role
IntePros is actively seeking qualified candidates for the position of GitHub Actions / CI-CD Automation Engineer. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise automation pipelines to support internal teams through training and documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
- Develop reusable workflows, composite actions, and automation frameworks
- Integrate CI/CD pipelines across diverse environments (Windows servers, AIX, mainframe, SMB shares)
- Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline failures with scalable, long-term solutions
- Establish best practices for branching strategies, testing, secrets management, and workflow design
- Evaluate and improve existing automation processes for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
- Create detailed documentation including SOPs, workflows, and technical guides
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for developers, DevOps, and support teams
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for GitHub Actions and CI/CD best practices
- Collaborate with engineering, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable solutions
Requirements:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with GitHub Actions
- Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and DevOps best practices
- Experience with self-hosted runners, particularly Windows-based environments
- Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Korn shell; Python is a plus)
- Experience working with YAML and .NET/C# environments
- Experience integrating cloud services into CI/CD pipelines
- Strong communication skills with experience training or mentoring technical teams
- Ability to document complex technical processes clearly
