Sr. Presales Systems Engineer - HPE Networking - SLED (Pheonix)

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is the global edge-to-cloud company advancing the way people live and work. They are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join their State, Local, and Education (SLED) team in Arizona, responsible for driving technical strategy, enabling customer success, and supporting sales initiatives across the SLED market.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with Account Executives to develop and execute technical strategies for SLED customers
• Deliver compelling technical presentations, demos, and proof-of-concepts
• Design and architect solutions leveraging our portfolio (networking, compute, storage, cloud, security)
• Provide technical leadership throughout the sales cycle, including RFP responses and solution validation
• Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape
• Support customer enablement and training initiatives
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful deployment and adoption of solutions

Requirements:

• 5+ years in a pre-sales engineering or technical consulting role
• Strong knowledge of enterprise networking, cloud architectures, security, and data center technologies
• Familiarity with SLED procurement processes and compliance requirements
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to travel within Arizona as needed
• Certifications such as JNCIP, Aruba Professional Certification, or equivalent
• Experience with public sector contracts and funding models
• Hands-on experience with multi-vendor environments
