INSPYR Solutions is a national expert in delivering flexible technology and talent solutions. They are seeking a highly skilled SharePoint Engineer to support a migration and modernization initiative for a global financial institution, focusing on migrating SharePoint 2016 environments to SharePoint Online and modernizing legacy workflows into the Microsoft Power Platform.
Responsibilities:
- Lead migration of complex SharePoint 2016 sites to SharePoint Online, including environments with: Broken permission inheritance, Large and nested Active Directory (AD) group structures, Managed Metadata Services (MMS), Version-heavy document libraries, Legacy Full Trust Solutions
- Modernize legacy business processes by: Converting Nintex workflows → Power Automate (Flows), Migrating InfoPath forms → Power Apps, Replacing legacy/custom scripting with scalable, cloud-native solutions
- Ensure secure and compliant access models by: Mapping and validating AD groups for SharePoint Online (Owners/Members/Visitors), Partnering with IAM and business stakeholders to align permissions and governance
- Support end-to-end Power Platform delivery, including: Design, development, testing, and deployment of Power Apps and workflows, Packaging and promoting solutions into production environments
- Remediate and optimize legacy environments: Identify and remove unsupported/custom code prior to migration, Refactor or redesign functionality using modern Microsoft 365 capabilities
- Collaborate cross-functionally with: Business site owners, IAM/security teams, Program/project leadership, Migration and platform engineering teams
- Provide knowledge transfer and documentation: Deliver training sessions to designated business champions, Produce detailed documentation (migration artifacts, workflows, architecture, and runbooks)
Requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with SharePoint (2013/2016 and SharePoint Online)
- Proven experience migrating complex, enterprise-scale SharePoint environments
- Strong expertise in SharePoint permissions models (including broken inheritance scenarios)
- Managed Metadata Services (MMS)
- AD group integration and identity/access management concepts
- Experience modernizing legacy tools: Nintex → Power Automate
- InfoPath → Power Apps
- Deep understanding of SharePoint architecture (site collections, hubs, content types, taxonomy)
- Microsoft 365 ecosystem and governance best practices
- Experience with migration tools and approaches (e.g., ShareGate, Metalogix, or similar)
- Ability to troubleshoot and remediate: Legacy customizations (Full Trust Solutions, scripts, deprecated features)
- Experience in financial services or regulated environments
- Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and enterprise IAM processes
- Power Platform certifications (e.g., PL-100, PL-200, PL-400)
- Experience working within fixed-scope, delivery-driven engagements (SOW-based work)
- Strong stakeholder communication and training delivery experience
