Scalence L.L.C. is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer (QE) with strong expertise in Android Automotive OS (AAOS) and projection systems. The role involves designing and executing test strategies, building automation frameworks, and collaborating with various teams to ensure high-quality releases.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute test strategies for AAOS and projection-based applications
- Build and maintain automation frameworks for API and UI testing
- Perform functional, integration, and regression testing across Android-based systems
- Collaborate with developers, product teams, and DevOps to ensure high-quality releases
- Debug and troubleshoot issues across system layers (app, framework, network)
- Validate system behavior using HTTP protocols and API testing tools
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation
- Track defects, provide detailed reports, and ensure timely resolution
- Participate in requirement analysis and provide testability feedback
Requirements:
- Strong experience in Core Java and/or Kotlin
- Solid understanding of Android OS and preferably Android Automotive OS (AAOS) or projection platforms
- Experience in API test automation (e.g., REST-based services)
- Hands-on experience in UI automation frameworks (e.g., Espresso, Appium)
- Strong knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS protocols
- Experience with debugging tools and log analysis
- Version control systems like Git
- Defect tracking tools such as JIRA
- CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD
- Experience in Mobile Computing – Android
- Exposure to DevOps practices, especially CI/CD pipelines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Experience with Android Automotive OS (AAOS) or in-vehicle infotainment systems
- Familiarity with projection technologies (e.g., Android Auto)
- Knowledge of performance testing and monitoring tools
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
