F-35 Software Systems Engineer

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an experienced F-35 Software Systems Engineer to contribute to national security through advanced software solutions. The role involves solving complex software system challenges and integrating new capabilities for the F-35 program, ensuring efficient and effective software delivery from development to production.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze the environment to ensure that your team’s solutions consider the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements
• Support the development of F-35 software and the integration of subsystems and new capabilities, including design, development, test, and implementation
• Share your skills as your team utilizes new tools and techniques while helping to identify and implement system improvements

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in systems or avionics engineering, or with design and implementation of software using agile software development principles
• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering and participating in or leading the NAVAIR SETR process
• Experience with SysML models and source code for new applications or generating and enhancing code samples for existing applications
• Experience developing or acquiring client requirements and resolving workflow problems through automation optimization
• Experience with developing Interface Control Documentation to enhance internal and external communication
• Experience mentoring or supervising employees within a collaborative, cross-functional software development team environment
• Knowledge of DoD acquisition processes and system engineering practices
• Ability to independently think, plan and work at both a tactical and strategic level, and integrate MBSE into the Agile software development cycle
• Agile methodology, extreme programming, software engineering, product management, and software products
• TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor's degree in a Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or technology field
• Experience with Jira, Java, Python, C#, C/C++, .NET, JavaScript, React, NodeJS, PHP, or Drupal
• Experience with software estimation methodologies including SEER SEM or similar
• Experience with model driven development and UML
• Experience in a systems engineering or related technical position
• Experience with a DoD ACAT II or larger acquisition program office and system engineering practices
• Knowledge of administration of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar
• Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or related degree
