Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an experienced F-35 Software Systems Engineer to contribute to national security through advanced software solutions. The role involves solving complex software system challenges and integrating new capabilities for the F-35 program, ensuring efficient and effective software delivery from development to production.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze the environment to ensure that your team’s solutions consider the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements
- Support the development of F-35 software and the integration of subsystems and new capabilities, including design, development, test, and implementation
- Share your skills as your team utilizes new tools and techniques while helping to identify and implement system improvements
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in systems or avionics engineering, or with design and implementation of software using agile software development principles
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering and participating in or leading the NAVAIR SETR process
- Experience with SysML models and source code for new applications or generating and enhancing code samples for existing applications
- Experience developing or acquiring client requirements and resolving workflow problems through automation optimization
- Experience with developing Interface Control Documentation to enhance internal and external communication
- Experience mentoring or supervising employees within a collaborative, cross-functional software development team environment
- Knowledge of DoD acquisition processes and system engineering practices
- Ability to independently think, plan and work at both a tactical and strategic level, and integrate MBSE into the Agile software development cycle
- Agile methodology, extreme programming, software engineering, product management, and software products
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree in a Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or technology field
- Experience with Jira, Java, Python, C#, C/C++, .NET, JavaScript, React, NodeJS, PHP, or Drupal
- Experience with software estimation methodologies including SEER SEM or similar
- Experience with model driven development and UML
- Experience in a systems engineering or related technical position
- Experience with a DoD ACAT II or larger acquisition program office and system engineering practices
- Knowledge of administration of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar
- Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or related degree
