They are seeking a Contract Software Engineer to design and develop a medical device software application that processes protein-based lab instrument data and generates diagnostic reports for cancer risk.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with requirements analysts and cross-functional business/scientific teams to design software solutions and estimate development effort based on defined requirements
- Provide input on software development processes and operate in compliance with approved design control frameworks
- Design, develop, and implement application components, including front-end interfaces, backend services, and database layers
- Perform developer testing and produce technical documentation across architecture, design, and code modules
- Manage code within source control systems and track development tasks using appropriate tools
- Develop unit and automated tests; partner with QA to support manual testing, verification, and validation activities
