Working Student Data Engineering & Analytics - Energy Operations (m/f/d)

1KOMMA5° is creating Germany's largest one-stop-shop for the sale, installation, and servicing of solar panels and energy solutions. They are seeking a Working Student to join their Energy Operations team, where the candidate will contribute to data engineering, reporting, and analysis while learning about modern analytics platforms.

Responsibilities:

• ... own and maintain data pipelines for our energy operations from smart meter installation to the connection to the energy market
• ... create and maintain reports in Looker to get insights on everything related to smart meters, energy delivery and optimization, as well as billing our customers for the Dynamic Pulse service
• ... assist the team in maintaining the integrity and availability of our core operational data sets
• ... contribute to our codebase (primarily in Python) to automate routine operational analysis and improve data quality

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Business Informatics, or a related field
• Comfortable writing SQL queries to select, join, and transform operational data
• Hands-on experience writing code from university projects or personal projects; experience with Python is a strong plus
• Fluency in German & English
• Part-time (15-20 hours/week)
• Experience with Looker or similar tool (PowerBI, Tableau) is a strong plus
