Accion Labs is seeking a Senior Expert in Microsoft Fabric with hands-on experience in CI/CD pipeline implementation. The role involves supporting a large-scale migration from Azure Synapse Analytics to Microsoft Fabric while providing architectural guidance and mentorship to the client’s data platform team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of CI/CD pipelines integrated with Git within the Microsoft Fabric environment
- Work directly with the client s Data Platform team to understand their architecture vision and technical requirements for the Synapse-to-Fabric migration
- Provide hands-on delivery assistance across all stages of the migration lifecycle
- Accelerate completion of a large-scale data warehouse environment in Microsoft Fabric
- Identify and resolve blockers during the initial adoption phase of the Fabric environment
- Guide the client team on the right adoption of the Fabric Medallion Architecture (Bronze / Silver / Gold layers) — including proper structuring of Lakehouses, data ingestion patterns, and transformation strategies aligned with enterprise standards
- Advise and define standards for Managed Lakehouses (MLVs) within Microsoft Fabric, including schema management, delta table strategies, and OneLake integration best practices
- Provide architectural guidance on workspace topology, capacity planning, and the use of Fabric deployment pipelines across Dev / Test / Prod environments
- Guide implementation of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and Row-Level Security (RLS) within Microsoft Fabric Warehouses and Lakehouses
- Advise on data security policies including column-level security, sensitivity labels, and Microsoft Purview integration for data governance and compliance cataloging
- Ensure all migration artifacts and platform configurations align with the client s regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., data residency, audit logging, access control policies)
- Recommend and implement best practices for OneLake security including managed private endpoints and network isolation where applicable
- Offer technical mentorship to internal client engineers to upskill them on Fabric-native DevOps, Medallion design patterns, security, and governance practices
- Conduct working sessions and design reviews with the client s data platform staff to transfer knowledge and establish repeatable patterns
- Collaborate with stakeholders including database administrators, data engineers, and project leadership
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Azure Data Platform technologies
- Strong, proven expertise in Microsoft Fabric (Workspaces, Lakehouses, Warehouses, Data Pipelines, OneLake)
- Hands-on experience implementing CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions) with Git integration in Microsoft Fabric
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) in Microsoft Fabric or equivalent Lakehouse platforms
- Experience with Managed Lakehouses (MLVs) — delta table management, schema evolution, and OneLake integration
- Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and familiarity with Synapse-to-Fabric migration patterns
- Solid understanding of Fabric security model — workspace roles, RBAC, RLS, sensitivity labels, and Purview integration
- Deep understanding of data warehouse architecture concepts at enterprise scale
- Ability to work directly with client teams in a consulting/advisory capacity
- Experience with Microsoft Purview for data governance, lineage, and compliance within Fabric
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric deployment pipelines and environment promotion strategies
- Knowledge of OneLake network security — private endpoints, managed VNet, and data exfiltration protection
- Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or Spark in a Fabric context
- Prior experience in mentoring or coaching engineering teams on platform adoption
