WEX is a global fintech leader simplifying operational expenses across mobility, corporate payments, and employee benefits. They are seeking a Product Manager IV, Health & Benefits Platform to own the delivery of scalable benefit platform solutions that will deliver meaningful value to customers and enable product and technology teams to execute faster.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a subject matter expert in Health & Benefits ensuring our platform logic meets the needs of our customers and stakeholders
- Translate and synthesize business vision, market gaps, and technical needs into clear strategies, roadmaps, and prioritized backlogs
- Partner with Engineering, Architecture, and Design to deliver API-driven solutions for customers and end consumers
- Lead high-stakes stakeholder alignment and facilitate difficult trade-off conversations across Digital, Technology, and Commercial teams to ensure successful outcomes
- Lead agile delivery across multiple engineering teams, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, and retrospectives
- Use customer insights and metrics to measure success and drive decisions to improve the customer experience by making the most impactful enhancements
- Investigate legacy and modern system behaviors to design long-term platform abstractions
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in Product Management or solution design, ideally within employee benefits, healthcare, insurance or fintech
- Proven execution track record, including launching, iterating, and scaling capabilities that deliver solutions across multiple domains
- Deep experience with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum) and demonstrated ability to directly lead 1–2 engineering teams
- Exceptional ability to communicate at all levels within the organization, tailoring complex technical narratives into relevant strategic updates for any audience
- A passion for reducing complexity and building high-impact solutions that delight customers
- A 'detective' approach to digging into complex structures and legacy logic to understand current state to create scalable solutions while also leveraging data to guide product decisions and measure impact
- Strong understanding of API-driven architectures (REST, GraphQL, integrations)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- Experience in Benefits Administration, HSA, FSA, HRA, or COBRA products
- Background in solution design for SaaS or B2B2C environments
- Experience working with and rolling out Identity and Access Management solutions
- Proven experience managing products supported by multiple legacy systems and successfully migrating or consolidating them into unified, modern platforms
