The Director of Product Specialists (Solutions Engineering) will lead a team of Solutions Engineers, driving customer success through technical leadership and strategic engagement with sales teams.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Development: Lead, mentor, and scale the North American Solution Engineering team. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and customer-centric problem solving
- Strategic Engagement: Work closely with sales leadership to develop and execute strategies that drive customer acquisition, expansion, and retention. Ensure the Solution Engineering team is aligned with sales goals and objectives
- Solution Design and Implementation: Oversee the technical aspects of customer engagements, including solution design, implementation strategies, and technical validation. Ensure solutions meet customer needs and align with Twilio Segment’s capabilities
- Customer Advocacy: Serve as a senior technical advisor and advocate for customers within Twilio Segment. Understand customer needs and market trends to influence product development and roadmap
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to ensure a cohesive customer experience and to drive product enhancements
- Technical Excellence: Maintain deep technical and product knowledge of the Twilio Segment platform and the broader technology landscape. Encourage continuous learning and development within the team
Requirements:
- 10+ years in software engineering or solution architecture, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing technical teams
- Strong technical background with experience in software development, data platforms, and cloud technologies. Familiarity with Twilio Segment's technology stack is a plus
- Proven ability to develop and execute technical strategies that align with business objectives. Experience in pre-sales and post-sales environments is highly desirable
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences, including executive-level stakeholders
- A strong customer advocate with a track record of driving customer success and satisfaction through technical leadership and innovation
- Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and grow high-performing technical teams in a fast-paced environment
- Experience leading Solution Engineering or Product Specialist teams within a CPaaS, UCaaS or Customer Data Platform company
