Steampunk is an employee-owned company focused on human-centered design and government contracting. They are seeking an experienced Business Analyst/Scrum Master to lead an Agile software development team, ensuring effective project delivery and stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Scrum Master and Business Analyst on an Agile software development team
- Oversee scrum team for key high-priority project for the client
- Identify and mitigate risks
- Work with key stakeholders/customers to support planning and delivery of technical IT development Agile projects
- Help define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value
- Prepare and distribute progress reports
- Manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans
- Perform delivery planning for assigned projects
- Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments
- Remove roadblocks to their work; leverage organizational resources to improve capacity for project work
- Mentor and develop team members
- Support managing customer expectations for project deliverables
- Manage stakeholder communications
- Help implement an effective system of project governance
- Ensure the teams are effective and focused on their work
- Coach the teams in their understanding of the delivery process, the agile mindset, and client values
- Help the team use their time wisely and avoid distractions
- Serve business engagement by making sure team issues are escalated, worked, and resolved
- Lead the collection, capture, and management of mission user needs from prioritization, concept development, and feature writing to support development and deployment
- Apply different techniques to facilitate meetings and workshops, create a shared understanding with stakeholders, and engage team-members to produce product and portfolio roadmaps
- Collaborate with stakeholders and product teams to decompose large epics into features and user stories that can be understood and approved by members of the development team
- Document Acceptance Criteria in stories in a way that both development team and business stakeholders can understand and agree on the content
Requirements:
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
- 5+ year experience with Scrum/Kanban Methodologies
- 5+ Years experience serving as the Product Owner or Scrum Master or Business Analyst
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to establish immediate credibility with clients, build consensus, and achieve goals through influence
- Ability to help teams write user stories/epics, identify dependencies, and design optimal solutions
- Flexibility to work with teams, individuals and executives and willingness to help with a wide variety of work products and people
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
- Experience working in a studio / human centered design approach
- CSM, PSM, and/or SAFe certification
- Salesforce experience
