Marketeq Talent is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to act as the technical face of their brand, creating high-converting video content and sales collateral. The role requires translating software architecture and engineering expertise into engaging content while collaborating with various teams and serving as the primary authority in digital funnels.
Responsibilities:
- Record Video Sales Letters (VSLs), Meta/Facebook ads, and conversion videos as the on-camera technical expert
- Serve as the primary authority across digital funnels — the face prospects see before they buy
- Deliver post-conversion content that reinforces trust and drives retention
- Collaborate with copywriters to turn software architecture knowledge into persuasive, ROI-driven scripts
- Participate in structured briefing sessions to transfer your domain expertise to the creative team
- Translate engineering concepts — technical debt, architecture trade-offs, DevOps, scalability — into language that resonates with CEOs and non-technical stakeholders
- Act as the final decision-maker on all engineering hires submitted by our recruiting team
- Scope custom software projects from discovery calls into technical roadmaps and sales offers
- Apply your sales engineering experience to estimate timelines, budgets, and tech stacks
Requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on software development or architecture experience
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Senior Software Engineer, Software Architect, or Lead Developer
- Deep fluency across the full SDLC: system design, architecture patterns, modern frameworks, DevOps, CI/CD, and scalability
- Able to speak fluently at a keynote — AWS re:Invent, Google I/O, Microsoft Build — without slides as a crutch
- Natural on camera: high energy, clear delivery, able to simplify complex ideas without losing credibility
- Experience translating engineering expertise into ROI-driven business language for executives
- Must be free of any non-compete agreements restricting representation of a software development firm
- Prior public speaking, webinar hosting, or published technical writing is a strong plus
- Portfolio (optional) — links to speaking engagements, GitHub, or existing video content
