Job Purpose or Objective: Assists in administration of compute and storage systems and recommends
improvements necessary to ensure operation of Choctaw Nation systems.
Primary Tasks:
Maintains Windows Active Directory environments/fileserver permissions to meet business requirements
Assists in administration of enterprise storage environments, including enterprise storage arrays, fiber channel switches and Network Attached Storage
(NAS)
Assists in administration of enterprise compute environments, including
virtualization hardware, physical servers, and hosted systems
Assists in assuring reliable and stable data storage management, security,
backup, restoration, archiving and replication
Assures systems performance and stability
Assures system security
Administers and optimizes server OS, including Windows Server 2008, 2012+,
and Redhat Linux
Assists with maintaining enterprise wide VMware environments
Applies company policies and procedures
Minimum Requirements:
Associates degree in computer science or related field or relevant IT certification or 2 years related experience.
Superb spoken and written communications skills
Effective customer service skills
Ability to perform complex tasks using independent judgment and critical thinking
Knowledge of managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting system infrastructure based on best practices
Server operating system and active directory troubleshooting knowledge
Must be comfortable working in an accountable and deadline-oriented environment and maintain flexible working hours
Two years' experience supporting IT systems
Target Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and professional IT certification.

Proven experience managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting system infrastructure based on best practices
Server operating system and active directory troubleshooting experience

3 years' experience supporting system infrastructure
1. You will work network tickets under the overview of lead Network Engineers and follow directions. Provide 100% positive end-user support and feedback on tickets worked. 2. Work on problems of limited scope. Follow standard procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be obtained. Build stable working relationships internally. 3. Learn to use professional concepts. Apply company procedures to resolve routine issues. 5.
