Principal Cloud & Systems Engineer (AI-Ready Infrastructure)

The Zig is focused on deploying production-grade data and AI systems into enterprise environments rapidly. This role is responsible for designing and implementing the infrastructure that supports these systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and cost-efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement cloud architectures (Azure-first) for data and AI workloads
• Build infrastructure using Terraform/Bicep and code-first approaches
• Set up environments (dev, staging, production) and deploy systems end-to-end
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows
• Define and enforce security, networking, and access patterns
• Ensure systems are reliable, scalable, and cost-efficient in production
• Integrate AI services (APIs, RAG infrastructure) into production systems

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure or equivalent cloud
• Proven ability to build infrastructure from scratch
• Experience with Terraform, Bicep, or similar IaC tools
• Ability to write code for automation (Python, Bash, etc.)
• Experience deploying systems into production environments
• Ability to move fast without overengineering
• Experience deploying AI/LLM systems in production
• Exposure to Microsoft Fabric or similar data platforms
• Strong debugging skills across infra and application layers
