Alt is unlocking the value of alternative assets, starting with the $5 B trading-card market. They are seeking a deeply technical Senior Product Manager to own Alt’s pricing and valuation engine, responsible for improving model accuracy, expanding pricing coverage, and building the ML foundation to scale into new asset categories.
Responsibilities:
- Expand Alt Value coverage into new categories and SKUs
- Improve accuracy and consistency of valuations, especially for high-end assets
- Shape modeling strategy with data science (e.g., random forest, ensemble approaches)
- Define model inputs, features, constraints, and evaluation metrics
- Build tools and dashboards for accuracy curves, drift monitoring, and model performance
- Redesign workflows to reduce pricing turnaround from days → hours
- Improve labeling quality, routing, prioritization, and feedback loops into training data
- Make HITL predictable, measurable, and scalable
- Define the roadmap for new data sources, attributes, comps, and metadata
- Partner with the Data team to ensure pipelines meet model and pricing needs
- Ensure freshness, completeness, and reliability of all pricing inputs
- Build the quarterly roadmap for pricing, ML, and HITL systems
- Drive alignment across Engineering, Data, Marketplace Ops, and CX
- Communicate priorities clearly and ensure disciplined execution
Requirements:
- 5–8+ years of PM experience in ML platforms, pricing systems, risk/decisioning, or marketplace dynamics
- Deeply technical — comfortable with modeling approaches (random forest, tree-based models), feature engineering, accuracy metrics, and data schema design
- Experienced partnering with data science and engineering on model architecture, inputs, constraints, and performance
- Strong intuition for pricing systems, valuation mechanics, or financial modeling
- Able to go deep into data pipelines and system constraints while driving clear, simple roadmaps
- Thrive in ambiguity, move quickly, and take full ownership of outcomes
- Familiarity with the trading card hobby or alternative asset valuation
