EPITEC is seeking a PCB Layout Engineer for their AR Product Team, where you will be responsible for driving complex PCB layouts that incorporate advanced technologies. The role involves collaboration with various engineering teams and managing multiple PCB layout projects to ensure design verification and meet aggressive miniaturization requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple complex PCB layout projects and provide timely status updates within Meta systems
- Lead PCB designs from kick‑off through tape‑out, including rigid, rigid‑flex, and flex PCBs for product and non‑product/test projects
- Schedule and drive project meetings (Kick‑off, Placement, Constraint, and Design Reviews) to ensure design verification using Meta’s Design Traveler document
- Create and modify engineering tool project templates, metadata, configuration data, and rules
- Apply electrical engineering principles related to power distribution, high‑speed circuits, and RF signals
- Proactively identify execution risks or delays and partner with managers or TPMs to propose alternate PCB development workflow solutions
- Propose practical fit, form, and function solutions supporting aggressive miniaturization requirements
- Partner with EE Leads, Mechanical Engineering, TPMs, and cross‑functional teams to resolve design issues
- Work with internal DFM engineers to confirm supplier requirements at project launch
- Engage external suppliers and SQE/PE teams to resolve DFM issues and support high‑yield builds
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in complex PCB design
- 5+ years of experience using Cadence Allegro PCB Design Tools (v23.1 or newer)
- Senior‑level experience with Cadence Allegro (v21+)
- Rigid‑flex and flexible circuit design experience
- HDI (high‑density interconnect) PCB design experience
- Strong overall PCB layout and design background for complex boards
- Strong understanding of the mechanical aspects of electronics design
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering

- 3+ years of experience implementing miniaturization solutions in dense form‑factor designs (e.g., wearable products, mobile devices)
- Manufacturing or process exposure with a design‑for‑manufacturability mindset
- Experience driving production efficiency or continuous improvement efforts
- Strong collaboration skills across design and manufacturing teams
