Content Engineer (Contract)

Baseten powers mission-critical inference for the world's most dynamic AI companies by providing flexible infrastructure and seamless developer tooling. The role focuses on contributing to the content strategy by generating high-quality written content and optimizing it for visibility in the AI space.

Responsibilities:

• This is a primarily technical writing position—producing new, high quality content will be the majority of your time
• Find credible sites and information aggregators for our content to cast a wider net on distribution
• Identify topics that the Baseten ICP cares about via external and internal data
• Plan and produce content that drives visibility
• Codify and use the latest SEO and AEO to orient and optimize content

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience as a developer — at least one of Python, Go, or C
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; you can explain complex technical concepts in an interesting and compelling way
• You have strong thesis and POV on the topics that AI/ML engineers are curious about, and can credibly communicate tradeoffs within our stack
• Comfort with ambiguity and an extreme bias toward ownership
• Have an experimental and data-driven mindset; you set clear outcomes and iterate quickly based on a mix of signals and intuition
• You move fast, ship content, and iterate based on what you learn
• Experience with AI/ML infrastructure, inference platforms, or LLM tooling
• Background supporting open source developer tooling
• Prior work tinkering or experimenting with a range of open source frontier models
• Likes keeping up to date with the latest trends and news in AI to help us identify critical opportunities to impact the wider industry conversation
• Prior work at a low-code, API-first, or model/data platform company
