Lockheed Martin is seeking a highly motivated early career Sales Engineer to support the sales team in developing sales for their commercial space product lines. The successful candidate will be responsible for qualifying leads, fielding initial customer questions, and maintaining the Customer Relationship Management database.
Responsibilities:
- Qualify leads that have been generated by our website, advertising and tradeshows
- Answer initial customer questions about our products
- Assist customers in selecting the best products for their needs with the assistance of the Sales Manager and Engineering Team
- Maintain Microsoft Office Dynamics 365 Customer Relationship Management database and assist marketing with email blasts
- Assist marketing with our website, social media, presentations, videos and datasheets with technical content
- Write technical articles and fact sheets with the assistance of the engineering team
- Support marketing with tradeshow planning, product selection, staging and storage
- Prepare Request for Costing/Proposal for standard products
- Assist marketing with website, presentation and datasheet content
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) in Engineering, Physics or related field from a four-year college or university or equivalent technician sales experience
- Sales and Business Development experience
- Working knowledge of space materials, thermal control coatings, optical coatings and filters or material science
- Experience in Microsoft Office 365 suite of applications
