Friends From The City is a design, research, and engineering company focused on public impact. As a Product Manager, you will lead product strategy and delivery for civic technology projects that improve public services, ensuring that digital tools serve real people with real needs.
Responsibilities:
- Shape the product vision and roadmap for a federal agency's most critical agricultural modernization programs, directly impacting how millions of American farmers and landowners interact with the federal government
- Serve as the senior product voice connecting agency IT leadership, business program units, and the Palantir platform team, translating complex agency needs into a coherent, prioritized delivery strategy
- Build and own the platform branding, communications, and value proposition that aligns IT and business leadership around a shared modernization vision
- Drive feature prioritization and use case validation across a portfolio of Palantir Foundry-based applications setting the standard for how federal agencies modernize at scale
- Extend your impact beyond the initial program scope, as your work will inform how the Palantir platform gets adopted across additional mission areas and potentially across the broader federal enterprise
- Operate at the intersection of high-priority national initiatives where your work is visible to agency executive leadership and directly tied to measurable outcomes for the American public
Requirements:
- Palantir Foundry experience: you have worked in a Foundry environment, understand ontology-driven workflows, and can speak credibly with platform teams about what is buildable
- Executive communication skills: you are comfortable running structured briefings with senior leadership and translating technical delivery status into business language
- Stakeholder alignment across complex organizations: you have worked across cross-functional teams including IT, program offices, and external platform vendors simultaneously
- Agile delivery fluency: you manage backlogs, validate use cases, and keep delivery moving inside a sprint-based framework without sacrificing strategic vision
- Platform branding and communications: you can articulate a product's value proposition clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences at the leadership level
- Risk management and problem solving: you anticipate delivery risks early and come with solutions, not just status updates
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years of relevant experience preferred
- Federal product management at the senior level: you have owned a roadmap in a government context, managed competing stakeholder priorities, and navigated agency governance without losing momentum
- Familiarity with procurement, compliance, or federal IT delivery frameworks
- Experience leading discovery work, service design sprints, or participatory workshops
- Knowledge of performance measurement or analytics tools
- Comfort navigating ambiguity, shifting requirements, or multidisciplinary teams
