Sr. Engineer [REMOTE within PA]

Iteris, Inc. is a provider of smart mobility infrastructure management solutions, seeking a Sr. Engineer to join their team. The role focuses on leading and supporting traffic engineering projects and collaborating with various agencies to enhance transportation systems in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities:

• Lead or support traffic engineering, signal operations/signal timing, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) design, implementation, and integration projects in Pennsylvania and surrounding region
• Lead development and implementation strategies for improving arterial traffic flow and safety, prepare the development of system performance measurement tools, standard operating policies/procedures, deficiency reports and mitigation plans, coordinate with local agencies related to the operation and maintenance of traffic signals and arterial systems
• Oversee and conduct highly visible customer traffic operations support through the performance of on-site signal timing implementation and fine-tuning, and review of existing traffic operations issues
• Collaborate with client management delivering projects to the clients' satisfaction within business objectives
• Liaise with local and regional business development efforts
• Cultivate strategic thinking to grow business and increase return client rates
• Periodically participate in coordination meetings and consult with other staff
• Support staff management and provide mentorship and training for engineering and planning staff
• Define client needs and develop a plan and proposal for delivery of the project

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) required, field of study: Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in transportation engineering or related field
• Minimum three (3) years of experience managing project and/or program for public agencies, staff management, and mentoring
• Is based in Pennsylvania and has experience working with Pennsylvania DOT or Major public sector clients (as a consultant or public sector employee)
• Familiar with tools such as Synchro, Sim Traffic, VISSIM (multi-model traffic flow simulation software package), AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc
• Proficient in MS Office
• Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification or International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA) certification desired
