Teleport is a company that helps organizations secure their infrastructure while moving quickly. As an Associate Field Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and supporting Teleport solutions for customers, providing technical troubleshooting, and delivering training sessions.
Responsibilities:
- Deploy and configure Teleport in a customer environment as well as communicate implementation best practices to the customer
- Act as a point person for all technical issues, providing triage and troubleshooting, and escalating to engineering for high complexity cases
- Develop, maintain and deliver customized training; evangelize the solution to a wider customer organization
- Drive adoption within the customer organization; assist with an enterprise-wide rollout of Teleport
- Maintain strong working relationships with key client stakeholders and expand relationships into other parts of the organization
- Work closely with Sales and Product to identify customer needs associated with tangible upsell and cross-sell opportunities
- Collaborate with Sales and Product to provide valuable feedback for product improvement
- Support our broader Teleport customer base seeking new solutions and best practice recommendations
Requirements:
- BSc or Master Degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science
- Linux administration skills
- Hands-on knowledge with one of the major public cloud providers: AWS, GCP, Azure
- A strong understanding of Kubernetes and prior hands-on experience
- Hands-on knowledge with at least one of the following security principles and technologies: SSH, PKI, 2FA, SSO (SAML, OIDC), RBAC
- Hands-on software troubleshooting, testing, and debugging skills with a tenacity to identify and resolve the technical issue that may arise
- Outstanding soft skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Project management experience and the ability to handle multiple clients simultaneously
- Strong organizational skills
- Previous internships at technology companies are a plus
- Participation in software design projects is a plus
- Participation in and leadership of relevant technology and engineering university clubs is a plus
- Relevant computer science and computer engineering courses with the focus on systems engineering, computer architecture, and networking are a plus
- Certifications are a plus
