Genetec Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and configure complex security systems including access control, visual controls, IoT, intrusion, and other specialized technical physical security systems.
• Provide specialized technical support to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of all related Security Systems.
• Serve as a subject matter expert, and support and maintain physical security management systems and applications.
• Debug and resolve application, database, operating system, and network issues for both pc s and servers with a variety of operating system combinations, server hardware, and network topologies in partnership with Database and Network teams, as well as 3rd party vendors.
• Work on the rollout of new systems and remediation of existing systems while coordinating with project managers and physical security team members.
• Ensure the quality of services and solutions to application user base, other application owners and IT technical teams.
• Ability to generate and manage status reports, meeting minutes, and change or outage notifications.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate proficiency skills and deep technical knowledge of the design, programming, and troubleshooting of one or more of the following: card access systems, integrated security systems, hybrid IT-based video systems, or related information technology systems required.
• Ability to train others.
• Experience working with design, installation, integration, and federation of Global Access Control and IP Video Management systems, preferably working in the Genetec unified platform.
• Experience administering integrated Access Control and Video (CCTV) Systems (i.e. Genetec, AXIS).
• Certification: Genetec Certified Preferred
