About this roleWe are entering a critical phase of our hospital expansion, delivering an additional 82 beds across six new clinical units. To support this, we are seeking an experienced professional to join us in a six month fixed term, project based role focused on the set up, delivery and planning of these new services.
This role will play a pivotal part in translating planning into operational readiness — supporting workforce mobilisation, service commencement and safe planning of the hospital expansion. This is a unique opportunity to contribute your expertise at a defining moment, helping shape how care is delivered from day one.
About the role
We are seeking a People & Culture Business Partner to support the operational delivery of a major hospital expansion program. Working closely with project leads, clinical leaders and senior stakeholders, you will provide practical, timely and solutions focused P&C support to enable new services to open safely and effectively.
This role is delivery focused and suited to an experienced P&C generalist who enjoys working in complex, fast paced environments and partnering closely with leaders to turn workforce plans into reality.
Key responsibilities
• Partner with project and operational leaders to support workforce mobilisation and service commencement
• Provide pragmatic P&C advice that supports operational readiness and safe service delivery
• Support workforce planning activities, role design and establishment of new teams
• Guide leaders through people considerations associated with change, transition and growth
• Build leader capability through coaching and practical, risk aware advice
• Contribute P&C input to project planning, implementation and continuous improvement activities
• Ensure people processes and documentation support timely and effective service delivery
• Promote inclusive, psychologically safe and values aligned workplace practices
About you
You are a confident and adaptable P&C professional who brings sound judgement, strong partnering skills and a practical approach to supporting operational change.
You will have:
• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated experience as a P&C Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor
• Strong generalist capability across workforce planning, change support and leader coaching
• Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and meet tight project timeframes
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience supporting service growth, operational change or project based work (highly regarded)
• Experience in healthcare or a similarly complex environment (desirable)
