National Forensic Consultants, Inc.® is a rapidly growing multidisciplinary forensic investigation firm. They are seeking licensed Professional Engineers in all disciplines for periodic assignments to provide forensic engineering inspections and reports.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate the origin and cause of failures, damages, or defects in the residential and commercial fields
- Analyze the failure of building systems, determines the cause of failures, evaluates the quality of construction or reviews design or maintenance procedures
- Perform field investigations, lead multi-party examinations and documentation of the damaged property
- Research failure modes and code requirements as needed, prepare recommendations for repair and/or remediation as appropriate
- Prepares reports and letters outlining the origin and cause of the damages to our clients
- Be able to conduct investigations and clearly document your findings
- Perform research and analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills is a must; being able to explain technical subject matters to clients in simple terms is also a plus
- Prepare and write reports, present findings and maintain reports of investigation results
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related discipline is required
- Active PE is required (in the state of residence is preferred)
- Ability to work in inclement weather and various environmental conditions
- Ability to work in high-elevated areas, such as roofs or scaffolding, requiring physical agility, balance, and resistance to acrophobia
- 10 years experience in design in a combination of residential, commercial and industrial setting preferred
- Multi-state licensures is a plus
