About this role
Sastra Group is a Series B Cybersecurity company looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer. The role involves ensuring product quality and reliability throughout the development lifecycle by collaborating with engineering and product teams to enhance testing processes and deliver high-quality product releases.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with engineering teams to continuously improve quality assurance efficiency and effectiveness across the product design and development process
- Partners with engineering managers and other QA engineers within product groups, actively participating in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demos, retrospectives, and estimation sessions
- Contributes to the overall success of product releases by ensuring that users receive valuable new features that function as intended
- Develops and executes detailed testing plans based on feature specifications, outlining actions for each user role to verify functionality
- Performs manual testing of new features across supported devices, platforms, and browsers to ensure a seamless and consistent user experience
- Identifies, documents, and reports bugs or irregular behaviours, creating and assigning tickets to the appropriate engineering managers for resolution
- Verifies bug fixes after resolution, retesting as necessary to confirm quality
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of experience in product quality, QA, or software testing roles
- Proven ability to create and execute comprehensive testing plans
- Experience collaborating with engineering and product teams in an agile development environment
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot inconsistencies or deviations from specifications
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of working cross-functionally
- Proficiency in manual testing across various devices, operating systems, and browsers
- Familiarity with agile and scrum methodologies
- A customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality user experiences
