Ulteig is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Associate Project Manager for Automation, Integration, and System Protection engineering/construction projects. In this role, you will manage small to medium projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while demonstrating exceptional leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
- Lead small-to-medium engineering projects from initiation through close-out for CAISO/DWR/Plant SCADA/Mission Critical/Water/Wastewater
- Manage all aspects of project execution, including scope, stakeholder management, schedule, budget, and quality, within CAISO/DWR/Plant SCADA/Mission Critical/ Water/Wastewater projects
- Lead internal and external project meetings, including progress reviews and problem-solving sessions
- Develop and implement project plans, including risk management and mitigation strategies
- Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations
- Point person for contract negotiation and management
- Accountable for key project decision making
- Consistently produce results that meet goals, maintain high work standards, and understands the business environment and processes
- Serve as point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns, risks, and issues
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
- Work collaboratively with the Project Coordinators to ensure project schedules and costs are managed and tracked to plan
- Maintain customer focus to meet or exceed customer expectations and represent Ulteig in a professional and courteous manner
- Ensure that best practices and lessons learned are shared across projects and teams

- Monitor ongoing project health and track key metrics
- Adhere to Ulteig governance policies and procedures for project success

- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure that technical aspects of the project are properly managed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Business Administration or related field
- 3-4 years of experience in project administration/management or a related role, preferably within an engineering or construction firm
- Proficient understanding of project management and project controls
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Planview Adaptive Work)
- Must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S
- Must be able to travel to the U.S. and Canada
- Microsoft Dynamics (Finance & Operations) experience preferred
- CAPM certification preferred, PMP or equivalent preferred
