Principal Product Designer (Individual Contributor)

Skan.ai is redefining enterprise operations through AI-powered process intelligence, and they are seeking a Principal Product Designer to lead high-impact design initiatives across their product ecosystem. This role involves owning the UX for complex problem areas, defining UX strategy, and collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams to shape product direction.

Responsibilities:

• Own and drive end-to-end UX for complex, high-impact problem areas
• Define UX strategy and experience architecture for AI-powered, data-heavy products
• Design agentic and decision-driven workflows that go beyond traditional dashboards
• Translate AI models, data signals, and enterprise workflows into intuitive experiences
• Build and scale design systems, frameworks, and reusable UX patterns
• Apply deep systems thinking to ensure scalability across multiple products
• Use AI-powered design workflows (Figma Make, Claude Code, V0, Bolt, Base44, etc.) to maximize velocity
• Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to shape product direction
• Influence decisions through strong rationale, prototypes, and storytelling
• Raise the bar through design critiques, standards, and thought leadership

Requirements:

• 12+ years of experience in UX, Product Design, with strong enterprise or SaaS background
• Proven track record of delivering complex, data-driven product experiences
• Deep expertise in data visualization, analytics UX, and decision-support systems
• Strong experience designing AI-powered or AI-assisted user experiences
• Demonstrated ability to create and scale design systems
• Exceptional systems thinking and problem-solving ability
• Strong critical thinking—you challenge assumptions and define the right problems
• Ability to operate with high ownership and autonomy in fast-moving environments
• Design Sprint way of design doing
• Experience designing agentic UX, autonomous systems
• Exposure to LLMs, generative AI, or decision intelligence platforms
• Experience working across multi-product ecosystems
• Understanding of frontend systems (React, design system implementation)
