NTT DATA is a business and technology services leader, and they are seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer to join their team. The role involves designing, deploying, automating, and supporting Microsoft Azure environments, requiring expertise in Infrastructure as Code and various Azure services.
Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, configure, and support cloud solutions in Microsoft Azure
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, or similar
- Engineer, manage, and optimize Azure IaaS services including virtual machines, networking, storage, backup, and disaster recovery
- Implement and support Azure PaaS services such as App Services, Azure SQL, Key Vault, Functions, API Management, Logic Apps, and storage services
- Administer and integrate Azure-related SaaS offerings including Azure AD/Entra ID, and other enterprise cloud applications as needed
- Design and manage Azure networking components including VNets, NSGs, Load Balancers, Application Gateways, VPNs, ExpressRoute, DNS, and firewalls
- Implement identity and access management using Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), RBAC, conditional access, and privileged access controls
- Support CI/CD pipelines and cloud automation for repeatable, secure, and efficient deployments
- Monitor system performance, availability, cost, and security posture using Azure-native and third-party tools
- Troubleshoot issues across compute, storage, networking, identity, security, and application hosting layers
- Ensure cloud environments align with organizational standards for security, governance, compliance, and operational excellence
- Collaborate with architects, developers, security teams, and business stakeholders to deliver cloud solutions that meet technical and operational requirements
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, standards, and operational procedures
- Provide support for cloud migration, modernization, optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience working as an Azure Engineer, Cloud Engineer, Systems Engineer
- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure across infrastructure and platform services
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code
- Experience supporting IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions in Azure environments
- Experience with Azure compute, storage, networking, monitoring, backup, and identity services
- Experience with Azure governance, security, and best practices
- Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or equivalent
- Candidates must hold active Azure certifications, preferably including one or more of the following: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate, Other relevant Microsoft Azure certifications may also be considered
- Experience with hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments
- Experience with security hardening, compliance frameworks, and governance policies
- Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, containers, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale Azure environments
- Experience with cost optimization and Azure resource management
- Familiarity with ITSM, DevSecOps, and cloud operational support models
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work across multiple disciplines and function as a well-rounded cloud engineer
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
