Printed Circuit Board Design Engineer

Russell Tobin is seeking a Senior PCB Layout Engineer with strong experience in complex board design, miniaturization, and advanced PCB technologies. The role involves end-to-end ownership of PCB layouts for high-performance, compact electronic products.

Responsibilities:

• Lead PCB layout design from concept to tape-out (rigid, rigid-flex, flex)
• Design complex boards involving high-speed, RF, and power circuits
• Drive design reviews, constraints, and project timelines
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers
• Ensure design for manufacturability (DFM) and high-yield production

Requirements:

• 10+ Years of experience
• Strong experience in complex board design
• Experience in miniaturization
• Experience with advanced PCB technologies
• Lead PCB layout design from concept to tape-out (rigid, rigid-flex, flex)
• Design complex boards involving high-speed, RF, and power circuits
• Drive design reviews, constraints, and project timelines
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers
• Ensure design for manufacturability (DFM) and high-yield production
• 8+ years in complex PCB design
• 5+ years with Cadence Allegro (v23.1+)
• Experience with HDI, rigid-flex, and multi-layer PCB design
• Strong understanding of electrical + mechanical integration
• Excellent communication skills
• BS in Electrical Engineering
• Experience in mobile/wearable or compact product design
• Exposure to manufacturing processes and miniaturization
