About this role
Dover India is seeking a motivated Junior Data Engineer to support the development and maintenance of data pipelines and infrastructure. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about data, technology, and building scalable data systems.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in building, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines (ETL/ELT)
- Collect, process, and clean large datasets from multiple sources
- Support the design and management of data storage solutions (data warehouses, data lakes)
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability
- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and engineering teams
- Monitor data systems and troubleshoot issues
- Document data processes and workflows
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
- 0–2 years of experience (internships or academic projects accepted)
- Basic knowledge of SQL and databases
- Familiarity with at least one programming language (Python, Java, or similar)
- Understanding of data structures and data processing concepts
- Good communication skills in English
- Experience with ETL tools or data pipeline frameworks
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
- Knowledge of big data tools (Spark, Hadoop, etc.)
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
