The Technical Project Manager will oversee internal engineering projects, ensuring efficient execution, alignment of teams, and effective communication of project statuses to stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Manage project statuses and ensure technical work, dependencies, and risks are accurately captured and reported
- Facilitate sprint planning for engineering teams balancing planned roadmap work against frequent interrupt-driven requests
- Assist with departmental reporting by translating engineering progress into clear, concise updates for leadership
- Work with engineering teams to capture current and future work prioritization, including technical requirements, constraints, and tradeoffs — particularly around capacity allocation between planned sprints and unplanned escalations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met
- Maintain project timelines, task lists, and statuses, with visibility into how interrupt work impacts planned commitments
- Regularly communicate project status, risks, and issues with key stakeholders, including proactive flagging when interrupt volume threatens sprint goals
- Assist with engineering team planning and roadmapping, ensuring technical capacity, dependencies, and platform considerations are accounted for
Requirements:
- 2–3 years of experience as a technical project manager or in a project role supporting engineering, infrastructure, or software development teams
- 1-2 years experience with project management tools (Jira, Confluence, Asana, Trello, or similar)
- Experience working in a remote, agile environment
- Experience putting together technical project status reports
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Strong communication skills
