Java Engineer (Data Privacy)

Temu is a rapidly growing company seeking a highly motivated and experienced Java Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will develop scalable backend infrastructure for data lifecycle management and governance, while ensuring regulatory compliance across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Develop scalable backend infrastructure to support end-to-end data lifecycle management and governance
• Design and implement core frameworks and tooling to enable secure data processing and ensure regulatory compliance across the organization
• Engineer automated solutions for real-time system monitoring, risk detection, and operational resilience

Requirements:

• 2+ years in software engineering with strong CS fundamentals; prior experience with Java is a plus
• Strong capabilities in system design and distributed systems principles
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and a high sense of ownership
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent
• Experience with privacy compliance is a plus
