Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Software Verification & Validation (V&V) Engineer with strong expertise in embedded systems to support avionics software development programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, executing, and documenting verification activities in compliance with DO-178B/C standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze software requirements to develop comprehensive test cases covering functional and non-functional aspects
- Design and document detailed verification test procedures, including inputs, expected outputs, and coverage criteria
- Execute test cases on target hardware/software platforms and document results
- Perform code coverage analysis to ensure compliance with DO-178B/C standards
- Build instrumentation and support SCA (Structural Coverage Analysis) activities
- Work with RTRT tool (IBM Rational Test RealTime) for testing and coverage
- Identify, log, and track software defects; collaborate with development teams for resolution
- Prepare software verification reports including pass/fail criteria and deviations
- Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and results
- Collaborate closely with system and software engineering teams
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in Software Verification & Validation (Embedded Systems)
- Strong experience with:
- Test case design & execution
- Code coverage analysis (SCA)
- DO-178B/C standards
- Hands-on experience with RTRT (IBM Rational Test RealTime)
- Experience in embedded software testing on target hardware
- Strong debugging and defect tracking skills
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in avionics or aerospace domain
- Familiarity with instrumentation tools and coverage analysis tools
- Strong understanding of embedded C/C++ systems
- Experience working in regulated environments (safety-critical systems)

- This is NOT a QA / Manual Testing role
- Only candidates with embedded V&V experience will be considered
