QRKIEZ is an early-stage startup focused on building a care network platform for neurodivergent individuals. They are seeking a Frontend / Mobile Engineer to lead the development of mobile and web applications using React Native and React.js, while collaborating closely with product and design teams to create meaningful user experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with product and design teams to translate wireframes, mockups, and ideas into high-quality, functional UI components
- Rapidly prototype and iterate based on user feedback and evolving product direction
- Build intuitive, accessible, and responsive user experiences across mobile and web
- Develop cross-platform mobile applications using React Native
- Build web experiences using React.js (optionally with modern frameworks like Next.js)
- Leverage modern frontend tooling (e.g., Tailwind CSS, Vite) to deliver performant applications
- Design, build, and ship core product features from concept to production
- Integrate APIs and backend services (primarily Firebase)
- Ensure consistent UI/UX behavior across devices and platforms
- Use tools like Cursor.AI to accelerate development, debugging, and refactoring
- Continuously explore ways to improve engineering velocity using AI-assisted workflows
- Optimize application performance (load time, responsiveness, scalability)
- Implement frontend security best practices
- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless build and deployment processes
- Ensure reliability and quality through testing and monitoring
Requirements:
- Strong experience with React Native and/or React.js
- Ability to build and ship products independently in a fast-moving environment
- Experience integrating APIs and working with cloud backends (Firebase preferred)
- Solid understanding of UI/UX principles and responsive design
- Comfort with ambiguity and rapid iteration in an early-stage startup
- Interest in leveraging AI tools to enhance development productivity
- Experience with Firebase ecosystem (Auth, Firestore, Functions)
- Prior startup or 0→1 product experience
- Experience building accessible or community-driven platforms
- Familiarity with performance profiling and optimization
