Alignerr is seeking electrical engineering professionals to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models. The role involves designing advanced electrical engineering problems, authoring solutions, auditing AI outputs, and improving AI reasoning while working asynchronously and flexibly.
Responsibilities:
- Design challenging problems — Create advanced electrical engineering problems across domains like circuit analysis, power systems, electromagnetics, signal processing, and control systems to rigorously test AI performance
- Author gold-standard solutions — Write precise, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as benchmarks for AI learning
- Audit AI outputs — Evaluate AI-generated code, circuit diagrams, and mathematical proofs for technical accuracy, safety, and adherence to engineering standards (IEEE, NEC, and others)
- Improve AI reasoning — Identify logical errors and gaps in AI-generated engineering reasoning, then provide structured feedback to guide model improvement
- Work asynchronously — Complete tasks independently on your own schedule with no fixed hours
Requirements:
- Holds or is pursuing a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field
- Strong foundational knowledge in one or more core EE domains: VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, power electronics, or embedded systems
- Able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely in writing
- High attention to detail when working with mathematical equations, circuit logic, and technical documentation
- No prior AI or data annotation experience required
- Experience with data annotation, data quality review, or technical evaluation systems
- Familiarity with simulation tools (MATLAB, SPICE, etc.)
- Background in applied or research engineering environments
