Cyber Security Engineer

LHH is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to support a large financial services organization on a high-impact contract focused on Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and secure Microsoft 365 integrations. This role will lead the secure deployment of the ShareFile Outlook Plug-In and ensure protection against data loss and improper data exposure.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the secure deployment and configuration of the ShareFile Outlook Plug‑In, ensuring protection against data loss and improper data exposure
• Design, implement, and validate DLP controls across email clients, endpoints, and network gateways
• Assess and mitigate data‑exposure risks related to email attachments, cloud file sharing, and external recipients
• Configure and manage Check Point Smart‑1 / Security Gateways (R82), including access policies, HTTPS inspection, and logging
• Administer Check Point Endpoint Security (E88.x, preferably E88.62) policies aligned with endpoint DLP objectives
• Support enterprise Outlook platforms, including New Outlook, Classic Outlook, and Outlook Web App (OWA)
• Develop security documentation, risk assessments, and validation test plans
• Collaborate with IT, Security, Compliance, and Messaging teams

Requirements:

• 5+ years of enterprise cybersecurity engineering experience
• Strong hands-on expertise with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) strategies and implementations
• Advanced experience with Check Point Smart-1 / Security Gateways (R82)
• Hands-on experience with Check Point Endpoint Security (E88.x / E88.62)
• Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 email and messaging architecture
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally
• Experience with file-sharing platforms such as ShareFile or OneDrive
• Familiarity with Microsoft Purview DLP or compliance tooling
• Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments
• Knowledge of Zero Trust security principles
