Data Engineer, Mid

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a data engineer to help clients find answers in their data for impactful missions. The role involves building advanced technology solutions and implementing data engineering activities, developing and deploying pipelines and platforms to organize and make disparate data meaningful.

Responsibilities:

• Help clients find answers in their data to impact important missions, from fraud detection to cancer research to national intelligence
• Develop and deploy the pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful
• Work with a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced and agile environment
• Support the assessment, design, developing, and maintenance of scalable platforms for clients

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience utilizing programming languages, including SQL and Python
• 2+ years of experience developing and maintaining scalable data stores that supply big data in forms needed for business analysis
• Experience with Palantir Foundry or Palantir Envision
• Experience creating software for retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data
• Experience with developing scalable ETL/ELT workflows for reporting and analytics
• Experience creating solutions within a collaborative and cross-functional team environment
• Secret clearance
• HS Diploma or GED
• Experience with distributed data and computing tools such as Spark and Databricks
• Experience working on real-time data and streaming applications
• Experience building end-user applications and backend data transformations
• Ability to work directly with users and translate real-world needs into delivered features
• TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor's degree
• Palantir AIP & Foundry Foundations Certification
