Lockheed Martin is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer for their Reliability & Test Engineering Team in Grand Prairie, TX. The role involves driving reliability growth across production hardware and collaborating with design, test, and manufacturing engineers to ensure product performance meets rigorous standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct Failure Mode, Effects & Criticality Analyses (FMECA) and generate reliability block diagrams
- Develop and execute reliability growth plans; analyze trends to prioritize corrective actions
- Support design reviews, test activities, and prepare for Failure Review Board (FRB) meetings
- Participate in Corrective Action Boards (CAB) and Failure Review Boards, presenting findings and recommendations
- Identify FRACAS trends, drive investigations, and implement mitigation strategies
- Review Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) and contribute to Concept Screening Board (CSB) and Configuration Control Board (CCB) decisions
- Recommend statistical process control methods and test techniques to achieve target reliability levels
- Compile, analyze, and report performance data and process control statistics
- Ensure all corrective actions satisfy established reliability standards
- Collaborate daily with cross functional engineers, produce clear technical reports, and travel occasionally for board meetings or site visits
Requirements:
- Must have or be able to obtain a Secret clearance
- Experience with performing reliability predictions and analyses
- Experience with reliability FRACAS and statistical data mining
- Experience with the FMECA process
- Ability to manage subcontractors in the Reliability field of expertise
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build effective working relationships
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Technical writing experience
- Ability to perform oral presentations in front of large groups
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field from an accredited college with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related master's degree
- Active Secret Clearance
- Experience with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM)
- Strong electrical background with a good mechanical understanding
- Practical hands-on experience with hardware test and troubleshooting
- Analytical thinker with a demonstrated ability of solving complex problems which require ingenuity and innovation
