Responsibilities:
- Lead multiple engineering teams, including both individual contributors and people managers
- Support the growth and development of engineers and managers through regular feedback, coaching, and career planning
- Set and measure goals that align with company strategy, ensuring your teams are focused, effective, and empowered
- Promote a culture of feedback, accountability, and psychological safety
- Partner with internal stakeholders to define priorities, clarify requirements, and align on delivery
- Manage execution across teams, identifying risks and removing blockers
- Lead through change with clarity and empathy, ensuring your teams are supported and informed
- Model Openly’s core values in leadership and decision-making
- Represent engineering in cross-functional planning, contributing to organizational strategy and operational improvements
- Coach and mentor leaders to build high-performing, resilient teams
- Help shape and evolve engineering processes to support growth and scale
- Lead multiple engineering teams through adopting agentic development
Requirements:
- 6+ years of engineering experience with 2+ years managing multiple teams or people leaders
- Proven success managing through complexity, scaling systems and processes in a growing organization
- Experience coaching engineers and leaders to grow their skills and careers
- Strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate goals into focused execution
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build relationships across teams and functions
- Highly autonomous with strong organizational judgment
- Passion for creating inclusive and equitable team environments
- Experience or familiarity with agile methodologies and iterative development
